Course Details

Upon successful completion of this renewal course students will receive a completed Maryland State Police Certified Qualification Score Sheet as required by Maryland Law for submission with the Maryland Wear & Carry Permit Renewal Application. Course length is 8 hours in duration, and exceeds the minimum requirements set forth by the Maryland State Police Licensing Division for Maryland Wear & Carry Renewal. There is a Live Fire Training Component (100 Rounds - Various Exercises). This course is taught by Maryland State Police Qualified Handgun Instructors from Delmarva Defense LLC - Lead Instructor: QHIC-2018-0162 | Assistant Instructor: QHIC-2022-0137 | Assistant Instructor: QHIC-2024-0547.

Course Requirements

Safety must be first and always. Students must be at least 21 years of age. Individuals prohibited by State and/or Federal Law to possess a firearm and/or ammunition are prohibited from registration. For safety reasons, those who are pregnant should not attend. This course is designed for current Maryland Wear & Carry Permit Holders seeking the required renewal training. Once registered, students are required to bring the following items, and items must be in safe operating condition:

- Handgun - 100 Rounds Target Ammunition (Factory FMJ Ammunition Only - No Reloads)

- Minimum Two Pistol Magazines (If Applicable)

- Proper Personal Protective Equipment (Hearing / Eye Protection)

- Closed Toe Footwear with Aggressive Tread

- No Low-Cut or V-Neck Shirts

- Weather Appropriate Attire

- Valid Driver's License or State Issued Photo Identification

A limited amount of rental equipment is available for an additional fee of $60.00 per person including required ammunition while supplies last. Fee is subject to change. Rental(s) must be approved by Delmarva Defense LLC. This option can be selected during the checkout process.
